🌿 Baby, it’s a Game Update Glow-Up

Sul sul, sweethearts! The Enchanted by Nature expansion is just around the corner (dropping July 10!), but EA decided to give us a little garden-fresh treat while we wait. Today’s July 1, 2025 game update (Version 1.116.202.1030 for PC, 1.116.202.1230 for Mac, and 2.14 for console) isn’t just pack prep, it’s a full-on glow-up for your Sim’s inventory, collections, and even rooftops. Yes, you read that right.

Let’s break down what’s new, what’s fixed, and what’s giving ✨hot fairy summer✨ energy!

PATCH DAY

The Highlights

✨ Important Patch Highlights:

πŸ‘œ Inventory Overhaul

Your Sims can finally clean out their cluttered bags without spiraling!

  • New Sort Options: Organize by New, Price, Crafted Quality, Filter, and Rarity. The β€œNew” badge is adorable and gives main character energy.

  • Spoiled Food Stack: Rotten items are grouped into a red-highlighted β€œSpoiled” stack with a trash icon. Trash it or flex your Sim’s iron stomach.

  • This applies to Sims and object inventories (like fridges and bookcases). We love consistency.

πŸ—’οΈ Notebook Makeover

The Notebook got a functional facelift.. and yes, it’s finally cute.

  • Sleeker layout with category-specific pages, discovery badges, and direct buttons to Sim Stats and Household Collections.

  • Console players also get smoother scrolling. Xbox girlies, rise.

πŸ’Ž Household Collections Revamp

Tracking your collectibles just got satisfying.

  • New layout with progress rings and sort filters like Rarity, Recent, and Missing.

  • You’ll also see a glow when a new item is added, because your Sim deserves fireworks for finding a frog.

πŸͺŸ Build Mode Additions

  • Glass Walls: Matchy-matchy with glass roofs. Finally, full greenhouse drama is possible without CC.

  • Plants on Roofs: Some shrubs and flowers are now roof-placeable. Check under Roof Sculptures, and hover to see what works. Green thumbs, assemble.

πŸ”§ Bug Fixes Worth Noting

  • Rain & snow now stay outside, like well-behaved weather should.

  • Townies got a name refresh.. expect more variety when you’re out creeping.

  • The Fear-Be-Gone potion now properly cures a Sim’s Fear of the Dark. Mood.

  • Sims can now plant in off-lot planters in places like Moonwood Mill and Chestnut Ridge.

  • The Go Home interaction no longer cancels when Sims are snow-deep in fun.

  • Patchy the Scarecrow is off the market for Create a Date. Pour one out.

  • Glass wall fixes, door fixes, clothing texture fixes, vampire fangs behaving, and yes, Hot Tub woohoo is officially back.

(Seriously, this list is a novella. You can check the full breakdown on EA’s site, but those are the highlights that stand out the most.)
